Ultra-nationalist Armenians' Campaign Against Disney's Hit Ataturk Series Receive Blowback.

Updated: Aug 5, 2023

Disney+ confirms the release of a much anticipated blockbuster series on Turkiye's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, marking the Centenary of the Republic of Turkiye despite a relentless campaign by hate groups.

Ultra-nationalist Armenian groups in the US, who have once been identified as the parent organisation for terrorist groups such as JCAG and ARA by the CIA, have been trying to get the series cancelled by actively running a campaign against the streaming platform.

Recently, however, the platform's Turkiye social media accounts confirmed that the series would be released during the Centenary of Turkish Republic later this year.

The campaign also has received extensive support from ultra-nationalist Greek groups.

The same ultra-nationalist Armenian groups have once been defined as "united in their hatred towards Turks" by ASIO in Australia.

Ultra-nationalist Armenian groups in diaspora with organic ties to a political party in Armenia have been successfully lobbying the US government and governments elsewhere covertly under different brands, escaping foreign interference laws.

Their calls to cancel Ataturk seem to have fallen on to deaf ears this time.

Turkiye's rising young stars such as Aras Bulut Iynemli, Esra Bilgic and Ali Eren Bulut are to star in the six episode long mini-series.
