Bruce Kellett of New Zealand fought against the world-first claim by the national broadcaster citing Turkish made Zeetug's record in delivering electric tugboats.
The news story about a New Zealand made electric-tug boat claiming that to be the first in the world has been taken Broadcastıng Standards Authority of New Zealand by Bruce Kellett.
Kellett had complained that the broadcast breached the accuracy standard of the Code of Broadcasting Standards in New Zealand on the basis Sparky was not the first electric tugboat in the world. He argued Turkey had electric tugboats before Sparky arrived.
The authority considered the inaccuracy as a technical detail, not affecting the central focus of the item and have not found potential harm at a level justifying regulatory intervention.
