FBI Denied Congressman's Request for Turkish Diplomat's Protection.

Never-before-seen files of FBI shed a new light into the murder of Turkish honorary consul in Boston, Orhan Gunduz in 1982.

According to the documents, Congressman Barney Frank wrote to the director of FBI and asked for protection for Gunduz, whose shop had been bombed months before.

Assistant Director Charles Monroe responded to the congressman on 26 April, saying it was State Department's job to provide protection to Gunduz.

On 4 May, Gunduz was brutally murdered by Armenian terrorists.
