Albanese one seat short of majority.

The newly-sworn in Prime Minister for Australia is closely watching the election count still going on at a number of seats as he is still one seat short of the magic 76 number in the lower house.

With Greens picking up the seat of Griffith from ALP, and securing the fourth member in the lower house, Albanese and his numbers people have their eye on the counts at the seats of Macnamara, Lyons, Deakin and Gilmore.

Where the seat of Macnamara is likely to be retained by ALP, in other seats there are margins below 1000 separating two leading candidates after two party preferred counts.
